Fourth of July in this country reminds us each year that our freedom is precious. This holiday is the day we commemorate our nation's independence. This country was united in the desire to gain independence from another country, to struggle with true freedom and justice at times since then. We have so much to appreciate as we celebrate the holiday with friends and family. Enjoy your holiday, friends. Enjoy your independence.
Happy 4th!
ReplyDeleteJust think - if things had been different you would still be British! :-)
ReplyDeleteHappy 4th of July!
Yes, CiCi, it's Independence Day, and finally the sun is coming out in my part of the country to play! I'll be riding my bike today, spending time in the garden, and just generally giving thanks for the position I find myself in, in the good old US of A! And for all my friends, too!!
ReplyDeleteWe don't celebrate the 4th of July here in the UK, well actually we do because it's the day our daughter arrived in our home 16 years ago, but that's a whole different kind of celebration. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Fourth to you as well. We all at one time or another have strived to achieve our independence!
