Our kids like veggie gardening and love the cold weather which kills all the pests that attack the veggies--briefly anyway.R. It really takes a toll on the elderly!
Love the saying, but I'm glad you broke your "abstinence" for your friend having the stroke! Really. It's just too much.

I got a pedometer wrist thing for Christmas that tracks my steps. I had no idea how little I walked in a typical day-- and I thought I was pretty active. Now I'm moving much more and find myself taking the stairs whenever I can.

I caught up on your posts and was thrilled to hear you had such a great time in Hawaii with your son and daughter-in-law. 17 days is a nice long trip with plenty of time to adjust to the time change and see all the sights. I'm glad you were able to make so many memories.

xoxo jjJoanna Jenkinshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10836376588710862173noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1296769989261398998.post-15870085774725559302014-02-15T15:21:36.153-08:002014-02-15T15:21:36.153-08:00I think it would something as drastic as the event...I think it would something as drastic as the event you describe to get me running, too. But I do love to walk, walked for miles in Brasil. Between the heat and the hills, lost 8 kg and feel so much better for it. I have no concept of the sort of cold you experience and am happy to stay that way!Paulinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15276284964859313257noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1296769989261398998.post-69630459361820559672014-02-15T15:04:02.081-08:002014-02-15T15:04:02.081-08:00I never jog/run anymore, I'd rather ride my bi...I never jog/run anymore, I'd rather ride my bikeAdamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08051255914419363819noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1296769989261398998.post-75561270016659904122014-02-15T07:12:52.847-08:002014-02-15T07:12:52.847-08:00No doubt, most people wouldn't go out but do s...No doubt, most people wouldn't go out but do so because they have to. We are thinking about the rest of the country and their harsh conditions. Yesterday, it was in the mid-eighties here. Sounds nice, but I went to Trader Joe's a few days ago to get a bag of frozen peas and they were out. Said they wouldn't be in till Friday and it would be a month till the organic peas came in. They sighted our drought as the cause of the shortage. We are also starting to see food prices rising. One wonders what is to come...Stickup Artisthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00028394186285973772noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1296769989261398998.post-19244394224308868152014-02-15T05:24:55.337-08:002014-02-15T05:24:55.337-08:00Every time I run for any distance at all, my left ...Every time I run for any distance at all, my left knee complains for days.
