Tomato/Tomahto

Why does the word "smite" mean not so nice,  as in to attack or affect severely or strike with a weapon. Ouch.

But the word "smitten" is sweet and nice and means attraction to someone.
Nice.

You get a glimpse into the strange things I wonder about. At least strange to me.

  1. Smite is a good word - there is not enough smiting these days. People knew were they stood when they feared that God might smite them! :-)

  3. Because, often when we're smitten, it comes back to punch us in the face?? Maybe?

  5. So what you're really saying is that my blog name would be more appropriate if I shot with a weapon rather than a camera!. ;)

You have a wonderfully interesting mind, dear CiCi.
