RC, Some day I will be able to get a good photo of cardinals without a screen and two window panes between the camera lens and the gorgeous birds.
Liz, They are regular visitors. They know they are very welcome here.
DJan, The female is so much lovelier in person, don't you think? I mean lovelier than this photo. I call them Mr and Mrs because the female is in charge.
They're such fun birds to watch. And I totally agree with you in your comment reply to DJan. The male is certainly striking with his bright red feathers but the female, with all her subtle shades of peachy, rosely, buff and soft yellows is one of the most beautiful birds I see on a regular basis. And their little tufted head is so endearing.. especially on the juveniles. I love Cardinals. Thanks for sharing yours.

Those are beautiful - none of our local birds are as bright as that. We tend to be mainly limited to shades of brown!
They just wanted to come visit you and see what you were up to!
They are pretty, even through the screen, I enjoyed their (really his) beautiful color. :-)

What a great shot, even with the obstacles!

That is a very pretty family of friends you have there. They look like they were posing for you.
You have such lovely birds. They look good through the screen.

The screen gives an interesting effect, like these are needle points instead of photos. Very nice. Mrs. C. would hang these in our kitchen.
That is so cool and I love cardinals!
Beautiful birds! I like the effect the screen creates.
Beautiful close-ups! I was trying to photograph birds yesterday afternoon and they weren't cooperating with me.
Aren't they just the most beautiful, regal looking and acting too, birds! And they look darned good even with a screen coating over 'em too, Kid!
That's an awesome effect with the screening between you and them! Lovely shots.
That's a bird we never see in the UK. Beautiful colouring.
