Normal

Who is qualified to say what is normal. That is not a question, it is more of a statement. How do we know that the person deciding what is normal is a "normal" person himself or herself. See what I mean? Maybe we would all just breathe easier if we swipe the word "normal" from the dictionary.

i guess all in how you use the word...normal as in expected to or as in a prescribed norm...as in you got to act this way...in that case, i may not want to be normal..

That's a good one, CiCi. I smiled at that cartoon. It's also very true! :-)

I don't think I can even come close to knowing what's normal. Especially lately.

best definition of normal I've seen. I'll be "pinning" this one.
Oh, in my Friday post I gave a shout-out to your epitaph post since it inspired a thought I had.

Hi CiCi, I think that normal should be taken out as everyone or alot of us are just trying to be normal and when we get there we reallize it is not normal at all. think of you often.

Very true. I stay well away from a lot of "normal" things and people.....

Haha But I think we are well conditioned to accepting that we feel 'normal' after an illness or another event of life. We tend to want to measure ourselves with some standard even if it has a ton of variables.
The beauty of normal is it's a relatively flexible standard.
