A little boy was overheard praying, "Lord, if you can't make me a better boy, don't worry about it. I'm having a good time like I am."
After the christening of his baby brother in church, Jason sobbed all the way home in the back seat of the car. His father asked him three times what was wrong. Finally, the boy replied, "That preacher said he wanted us brought up in a Christian home, and I wanted to stay with you guys."
One particular four year old prayed, "And forgive us our trash baskets, as we forgive those who put trash in our baskets."
I was particularly smitten with the last prayer, for I have been working on my attitude about people who try to "put trash in my basket". I said Try, because it is up to me what I let get under my skin and who I allow to throw trash my way. So this is something I continually work on. Amen.

Me too, Cici. Problem is, people keep putting trash in my basket and I keep letting them. I need to work on it!
smiles...the trash in the trash basket one is very cute...and i def like your learning from it as well
I laughed out loud at the second one. Thanks for these, CiCi. :-)
I hear you. The Buddhists call it "Mindfulness." I find it helps to remember to take the position of the observer in relation to myself, rather than always just reacting. The hardest part for me is to drop the labels and harsh judgements of myself. Loving kindness starts with the self...
I find it preferable to not have a trash basket available for others to put trash in. Have a terrific day.
Yes, and the trick is to not throw that trash in the recycle bin! :)
I really, really loved the second one. So cute.
Amen, sister!
Just don't let anyone know where your trash basket is......
Oh, I can really relate to your feelings about other people putting trash in your basket. It's something I'm working on more lately too.
You put a smile on my face!
This is one I agree on 100% !
