"Imagine all the people living life in peace. You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one.
I hope someday you'll join us, and the world will be as one. "

The Work Continues

There are many smaller chores being checked off the list these days. New light fixtures installed, one in bathroom and one in bedroom. Grounded electrical plugs installed in bathroom, kitchen as well as extra plugs in living room. Motion sensor lights on garage. Wireless doorbell.

Rain gutters will be completed today.

Now I am looking for lawn vacuum to clean up the leaves on the lawn. Can you believe I have had several people volunteer to vacuum up the leaves? Can't decide if it is just because the yard looks so bad or because they like vacuuming.

I am enjoying seeing the changes and watching the little house transform to a better cared for home. Where I live. My home.

Thanksgiving

My Gratitude List has been updated and is altered beyond recognition. My heart is overflowing. Grown children and friends, in person and online, continue to bring joy into my life. I hope I can occasionally add to the swells of pleasure for you. I am thankful for you who are reading this and hopeful your life is gratifying. Happy Thanksgiving.

Expectations

Doesn't
"expecting
the
unexpected"
make
the
unexpected
expected?

Foreign Film

Watched a DVD from Netflix over the weekend.

Foreign film based on novel by Sebastian Japrisot.

Name of film is A Very Long Engagement.

Two hours and 13 minutes very well spent.

My friend's husband

There is now a rod across the wall in the little enclosed back porch. My winter coats are now hanging on the rod. Have to find ways to use space wisely in a small place. This is the kind of thing I like to do.

My friend's husband brought over the large dowel, his saw and installed the rod. Took him about twenty minutes.

Home Improvements

In another week, some of the work will begin here at the little white house. A crew will be here to remove the layers of sand and pebbles that have been filling the driveway for the past several years.

Then it will be a two day job to do the concrete driveway. This is what I wanted done when I lived here before. The concrete driveway will make it easier to get through the winter.

Then a crew will be here to install rain gutters on the house and the detached garage.

Then the work will begin on the inside of the house. New light fixture in the bathroom, some new electrical plugs, two new door frames and baseboards.

This is the fun part.
