"Imagine all the people living life in peace. You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one.
I hope someday you'll join us, and the world will be as one. "

Weight Loss Groups

After joining two groups to help my motivation to lose a dress size I have been eating more and not losing weight. I am not eating many cookies as in this picture, but I have been eating breakfast of oatmeal and then by 11:00 I want lunch. Evenings I need a knockout pill to put me to sleep instead of staying up watching mystery and BBC shows on Netflix and eating while watching them. Gads. I need some motivation. Where should I find it? Is it outside buried beneath the snow?

Life Is Good

The eyes are healed, new glasses are ready to pick up, too busy to get into town to get the glasses. Life is good.

Friends with colds have healed and are ready to go places again. Life is good.

Nights are again my friend, I am sleeping better after a few weeks of trouble getting much sleep during cold and flu bout. Life is good.

A friend gave me some delicious coffee beans. Fun to try a different taste of coffee even though I thoroughly enjoy mine. Life is good.

Today is baked fish lunch with brown rice and asparagus at the senior center about 15 miles from here, so after lunch my friends and I will play bingo. Life is good.

My heart is full and I already bought candy and cards to send to my grown kids for Valentine's Day. I am going to enjoy Valentine's Day this year, no stress and no sadness. While I am looking forward to celebrating holidays and events this year, I am totally in the present, grateful for each minute I am alive and reaching out to others with whatever I have to give. Live is very good.

New Door Sign

Ms. A writes in her blog Sarcastic Granny. Check it out here.

Ms. A emailed me about my sign about pets and said she would put my cat Lola's picture on a sign for me if I wanted one. Of course I did.

This is on the door of my apartment now. Thank you, Ms. A!

I Won

Every other week my friends and I drive to Prague, a small town about 20 miles away, and play bingo at the parish hall. There are usually about 40 people there.

Once in awhile I win, I get to yell out "BINGO!" and after they check my numbers they bring me cash. Such fun.

This week was even more fun.

I won a bingo for $15.

Then I won a bingo for $12.

And won a $94 jackpot.

My oh my.

A Sign For My Front Door

There is probably a sign like this with a cat, I haven't seen it yet, so the dog will do just as well.

This does not imply that pets are more important than people; I am not that category of animal lover.  Pets are an addition to the family. My cat, Lola, has kept me company throughout the length of time of my cold/flu/gosh darn can't beat it yet bug. When I wake up coughing she sits right next to me.  When I let her food dish go empty, she sits and watches me and when I look at her she meows and lets me know I need to get some food for her. She is so quiet and patient.  Two things I admire in everyone, but especially in a roommate.

A Great Movie

Do you watch foreign films? Some people can't get past the subtitles. I have no problem with them.

I recently watched a movie on Nitflix that has now been added to my list of all time favorite films. It is a Swedish film, with some English speaking and singing. It is emotional, real, down to earth, with great acting.

The name of the movie is As It Is In Heaven.

Let me know if you have already seen it. I am not going to attempt to tell the story, which is more complicated than the description on Netflix.
