Iowa

Iowa can boast some famous people sprouting up there. Andy Williams is one of them. Anyone remember him? His childhood home is much larger than where some other famous people lived.  Some of the other childhood homes we visited can be seen in upcoming posts.

I remember Andy Williams - used to watch his show on TV, especially at Christmas when he would wear amazing sweaters...

I definitely remember him but didn't watch him. I think it's neat to visit these places too!

Road trip! How fun!

I remember Andy Williams, mainly since he was a fave of my parents. Great voice.

I don't think I remember him at all. Nothing comes up in my memory banks, which doesn't mean much, actually. :-)

he was born in age where most infants were delivered at home. I bet a couple of hospitals can claim many celebs today

It is fun sharing some of the highlights of the road trip here on my blog. There were so many interesting and heart warming extras along the way.

Of course I remember him. Smooth voice.. family Christmas special.. introduced the Osmonds, and his ex wife shot a ski instructor. I remember weird details. But he was a favourite of my parents so we watched whenever he was on.

A tour of famous childhood homes would be very interesting, I'll bet.

I didn't know Andy Williams was from Iowa. I have his Christmas album and listen to it every year at Christmas time.
