Home Improvements

In another week, some of the work will begin here at the little white house. A crew will be here to remove the layers of sand and pebbles that have been filling the driveway for the past several years.

Then it will be a two day job to do the concrete driveway. This is what I wanted done when I lived here before. The concrete driveway will make it easier to get through the winter.

Then a crew will be here to install rain gutters on the house and the detached garage.

Then the work will begin on the inside of the house. New light fixture in the bathroom, some new electrical plugs, two new door frames and baseboards.

This is the fun part.

How exciting! I think I'd be happy if my hovel was just clean. Maybe one of these days.

Like I always say, you don't buy an old house, old houses buy YOU!

try not to get too stressed with the mess that all the work can take...just keep in mind how it will look when done...smiles.

my house luckily has two driveways, though both are not the nice and neat concrete. My brother parked in the grass during a snow storm and couldn't get out once.

I'm excited for you! It's always hectic while the work is in progress, but the outcome is SO worth it. Be sure to take before and after pics!

There are various renovations I'd like to make on our house. In the meantime, I think I'll live vicariously through you! Enjoy!

Sounds exciting to me. Just focus on the end result when the mess appears too bad. :)

Good luck with all those projects... the place will be so much better once it's all complete.

After a year and a half of renovations, I feel quite differently about the "fun" aspect.. but I admire your enthusiasm. ;)

There is no doubt that renovation requires much energy (and money). It will be great when this is over and you can enjoy a new place!

How fun to be able to see such big improvements on a place you already love!
