Crunchy Gems

This is the first time I am enjoying fallen autumn leaves. I have always appreciated the majesty and beauty of the trees in fall with a zillion colors and shades of those colors. This year I am in awe of the leaves on the ground too.

The back yard is full of leaves. All the glorious colors. Just brittle enough to make the crunch sound as I walk over them, and the motion sound as I walk through them. Crunchy gems.

Thank you, Mother Nature, for teaching me appreciation.

If I had a decent voice I would sing you "Autumn Leaves" but if I did so you would probably wish it was Summer LOL. However my daughter sings it well, Aka Eva Cassidy if I can get the MP3 player on my blog to work.

Great photos and yes I agree Autumn is a great time for colours. Eddie X

PS Where do we sign up to follow you?

I love fall, and especially the colors of the leaves. Something about this season just feels warm and cozy and comfortable.

This is my second post in my new blog. This blog represents calm and individuality. After I have been writing in this blog awhile I will be able to put down words for the healthy, peaceful online life this is for me.

It's such an invigorating time of year. I can remember writing a composition in grade school about walking through dead leaves.. the sound.. the feel.. the visuals. And I used to bring my kids to the park when they were little so that we could bury ourselves in piles of leaves. I'm glad you're discovering their beauty after their fall. :)

Fall is when I miss living in the Midwest the most. You just can't beat the colors, smells and sounds of Fall.

I too love the crunch of leaves, the smell of so many beautiful leaves mixed together...it makes me feel like I am a young child again. We would rake huge piles of leaves up and jump into them over and over...

Here's hoping the smell is as delicious as the crunch and sight!
