Mending and Fixing

How many times can something be mended?

Found this wall in a downtown building.

This wall looks artsy with the various times of mending.

Wonder if my heart looks artsy.

I think if you have a faith in God you know that he can repair us again and again, and unlike that wall we can start afresh each day. :) But maybe the scars and wounds will always be there to show how we can rebuild ourselves, but never quite forget.

You noticed the most interesting things CiCi and relate them back to our lives. Life is filled with challenges but we pray that none is more than our souls can bear.

That is a great metaphor.

I think your heart is probably like a grand building that has been repaired, extended and transformed over the years.

No doubt your heart looks VERY artsy. It's just the way we humans are, our hearts get broken but our breaks are filled with wisdom instead of bricks. Hugs to you, CiCi.

Unfortunately, sometimes the breaks are not filled with wisdom but rather with bitterness and ire and that creates a not very attractive patchwork quilt when finished.

As long as it works well, it's all good. :)

I think your heart has probably repaired itself in a very beautiful way.

What an interesting and introspective thing to wonder! I bet your heart looks very artsy, and you know I love artsy!

I love walls like this. There was obviously a window here at some point.
And I'm sure your heart is artsy, too.

Your heart is artsy.... and durable... and can have doors and windows and patches galore!
And very strong. Your heart is a strong one!
But not stoic... just real strength!

if it is...it still carries intrinsic beauty you know...just like that wall..smiles.

This has me thinking of a another metaphor - hitting a brick wall. The interesting thing about your perspective is that you notice the artsy parts of the wall and most people just bounce off and complain about the pain.

I am finding it hard these days for my heart to heal. Sometimes the pain is just to hard.

I'm quite sure your heart is artsy, and also that it is a beautiful, welcoming place.

Artsy and beautiful. Sometimes that's the best we can do.. and it's all good.

How the heck did I miss this... I'm so sorry... I don't know what the heck happened.

Girl, you've got a strong heart. Once yours is mended, you will hardly be able to tell it was ever broken.
