Weight Loss Groups

After joining two groups to help my motivation to lose a dress size I have been eating more and not losing weight. I am not eating many cookies as in this picture, but I have been eating breakfast of oatmeal and then by 11:00 I want lunch. Evenings I need a knockout pill to put me to sleep instead of staying up watching mystery and BBC shows on Netflix and eating while watching them. Gads. I need some motivation. Where should I find it? Is it outside buried beneath the snow?

If you find it, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!

I think it probably IS under the snow - when spring comes it is easier to get out and exercise, do stuff to burn calories, get distracted from the cookie jar..

ha we got a couple inches of snow here yesterday...it is easier when it is warm out..not trying to keep yourself warm eating...smiles...find your motivation...

I've got a couple of trips and a reunion coming up....even that has not been enough to get me motivated. Hopefully some warmer weather will do the trick.

they are having a weight loss challenge at my work. I think everyone will lose their motivation near the end of it.

It's the weather. Once it gets warmer, you'll spend more time outside, taking walks, etc. Then you will fall asleep while watching your shows. Just be patient with yourself. And have lots of cut up crunchy veggies, apples, a small handful of raisins for sweetness, with various flavored yogurt dips on hand. Like our little friend up there, I find crunching very satisfying!

For me, it's easy once I get started, but it's so hard to do that little part. It helped me so much to find out how many calories I was actually ingesting. I use a free app called "Lose It!" to track my food intake and exercise. I suggest trying that to get yourself started. Just a suggestion, though. It's different for everyone. :-)

The "tomorrow" diet is always popular!

Maybe your motivation is buried alongside mine somewhere deep. We'll get there one day soon though, won't we?

The weather can have such an impact. I lost my motivation several weeks ago and can't seem to find it.

My motivation has gotten up and left -I think it raced off and away! Maybe it does have a lot to do with snow, ice, cold rains and gray days but full weekends with visitors that I have to cook full meals for almost every weekend now for the past 6-8 months is starting to get very old so that may have chased my motivation out the door a bit too!

Oh CiCi! You and I are in the exact same boat! I can't find my motivation anywhere. Every morning it's the same "today's the day" pep talk and by 11:30 I'm looking for a bag of chips. Sheesh.
Maybe tomorrow???

Well I have lost mine too, I believe it is under the snow too. I start off good but seem to hit a road bump. It has been quite cold here so I just want soup and lots of bread....oh well what do they say, I am large and in charge....okay sorta.

More motivation needed for us to loose some extra weight so we should watch some health news and watch the slim people and ask ourselves if they are perfect in shape than why can't us?
