A Bit Chilly

Furnace stopped working two nights ago. It was 6 degrees when I got up and I was missing the warmth. Fortunately I have a great space heater that takes up the slack and warms the living room quickly. I can't re-light the pilot light myself so the landlord stopped by last night. The poor old furnace is not going to last much longer. I don't know how long a furnace is supposed to last but this one was installed when this place was built over 30 years ago. Last night it was warm and cozy inside again.

Things like that always happen when it is really cold, don't they? Who ever lost their heating in the summer?

Ohhh, glad it got fixed, even if it's temporary. Now that is cold... :-)

Sounds like time for a new furnace but I am glad it is working for now.

My heater works and I've still been staying cold. Can't imagine what it must be like with temps like yours and I don't even want to!

Brrrrr is right!

Thirty years is a long life for a furncace. I'm glad it's again working for you.

Ack.. that's too cold! I'm glad you warmed up again. I suspect a new furnace (we just got one put in here) will not last nearly as long as that old beast has.

Wow, that is too cold. When we lived on the east coast, we had to leave the furnace on when we left town in the winter, otherwise the water pipes would burst. Glad you got yours fixed quickly. Stay warm and toasty my good friend!!

Glad you got the heater fixed. I don't know how you managed with those low temperatures. I get so cold when it drops below 68 in the house! Our heater, though, did go out one cold winter, and we had to borrow space heaters until we could get the new heater installed. That was no fun.
