Teaching Daughters and Granddaughters

Today is my first child's birthday. My first daughter. To me, she is beautiful and kind and wise.

Oh, I so agree. That is a reminder for all of us to look for a way to tell the difference between the real and the deceitful. Sending you hugs! :-)

Today is also my oldest daughter's birthday. Like you, I am very proud of the woman she is.

If I had to pick a gender to have a child, I'd choose a boy. Not over some kind of "I want him to be a sports star" macho thing, but I'd be afraid to have a daughter that grows up. So many women have been hurt by members of my gender.

we def need strong parents and communities that will teach our children these things...and our boys need to learn it just as much...

Oh Happy Birthday to your girl. What a great poster. I only had sons to raise.. and I do believe that they are that kind of men.
