Another Enjoyable Holiday

Adopting the seniors for my surrogate family has filled a void. Having brothers and sisters my age and older who understand the aches and pains of getting older is a relief.  I don't have to ask someone to help with something; people are watching out for each other and doing things for each other like a loving family. These are some photos from our senior Christmas luncheon.

Merry Christmas to all the dear, loving, sweet, encouraging blog friends and your families. I am blessed to know you and grateful for the wisdom and viewpoints you share with me.

These look like a great bunch of people - reminds me of the community that my in-laws used to live in.

Have a great day!

So many smiles in that group! Friends are the best. They treat us well, and make no demands. All the best to you.

You are so right about finding ways to fill the void -and what better way than with a great peer group like this! Merry Christmas, CiCi! Hugs to you from me and mine.

Now that looks like MY kind of group! Of course, being a senior myself helps me to see myself in those smiling faces. I'm glad you have found a community that welcomes you like this. I know I cherish my own "family" here in the same way. Merry Christmas to you!

Jeni, little things are taken care of when it is needed, everyone pitches in and helps others. Thank you for your lovely good wishes.

DJan,yes, being part of caring people and me being able to help others too is what life is all about.

As I saw the first picture (of the Christmas tree) I automatically told myself; "What? No red decorative balls?" Nothing's wrong with blue, though. It's my fav colour :)

The place looks festive and filled with people enjoying themselves. Good for you :)

This is great. What many people don't realize is that when we volunteer, we usually get back much more than we put in. I'm happy for you.
