Get Out Of My Way

Pilanesberg game reserve, South Africa

Makes we wonder what was so important that the driver in the Volkswagen attempted to overtake the elephant. The elephant was obviously not having any of it, no one was going to get around him. Maybe the elephant was just having a bad day.

I tried to go around a large pickup truck in my very small car several years ago. The driver of the truck tried to push me off the road and his sneer in the mirror was on my mind for a long time. That was the one and only time I tried that. I was late to work and he, how dare he, was holding me up.  So I am not an innocent. I learned how easy it is to get caught up in the road rage  conflict.

Oh no, I hope nobody was hurt.

Maybe it was a no passing lane and the elephant was the enforcer.

Hilarious! I would love to see how this was explained to the insurance company!

Who knew that elephants also experienced road rage. I have to wonder who was taking the pictures.

I tried to leave a comment earlier.

I tried to burn someone off the traffic lights a few weeks ago, and had to give up because I was heading towards a street light. I was wound up about it for the rest of day. I realised I shouldn't be like this and decided never to do it again, and I haven't. I actually feel calmer about it all now too.

That elephant must have gone rogue because this looks like a clear and simple case of Rogue Rage!

Some people feel invincible in their vehicles, apparently some even when going up against an elephant!

Not worth the risk if you ask me. Wouldn't want to piss off an elephant or a truck driver. Slow and steady, that's how I like it.

Wow.. that's quite the series of images. All I can say to that driver is.. "tusk, tusk." ;)

Oh man-- What was that VW driver thinking?!? Did you see the news clip of the "run away" circus elephant in a parking lot this week??? They caught him safely but the elephant gave the trainers a run for their money.

Happy weekend CiCi. xo jj

That must have been terrifying. However, those maniacs on the Motorway can be just as bad as the elephant. Worse..... cos they should know better..
