Laboring Day

What I am doing over this weekend is so appropriate for this holiday. I am laboring! I am carting small things over to the little white house. I was presented the keys on Wednesday. I plan on taking things over, empty boxes and bags, pack a little more and take more loads. Since it is across one back yard into another back yard, diagonally through each yard, it isn't very far from house to house. Monday and Tuesday I have help and people with trucks, giving up their holiday mornings to help me.

Whatever my blogging buddies are doing this Labor Day Weekend, I wish for loads of love and making more good memories for all of you.

Happy Labor Day.

I hope that move goes easily and gently, CiCi. Glad to know it's not far away! :-)

Brian, things are going smoothly and plenty of help. Not rushing, and putting things where I want them instead of dumping boxes and items all over the place. Do the sermons get taped, would like to hear you preaching.

DJan, Only accident so far is that I smashed my baby finger in the corner cabinet as it swung around. So I am pleased and actually feeling relaxed.

This will be the first Labor day in a long time where I don't have to do any labor

Your move sounds a lot more organized than my Daughter and Sons' move. They have been trying to get it done for months, on top of clearing land, battling rain and not a friend in sight to help.

Good luck with the new place, Cici!

I hope your move continues to go smoothly. Here's to new beginnings! I'm working an aid station for a local marathon race tomorrow. Should be fun.

Adam, I am really glad you have the day off. I know your friends and family are happy about it too. Have a great day.

Ms A, Tell them to move to Nebraska, they will have lots of help here. And I could help them too. I am sorry to hear of the obstacles and setbacks they keep facing.

Abby, I look forward to hearing about your station and what you encountered during the race. You seem to make things fun no matter what happens.

Congratulations on the move and not having to worry about flooding any longer :-)

Perfect weekend for you to be laboring! Good luck with the move. You're lucky to have good friends willing to labor with you!
Most of my laboring this weekend will actually be done at work, and in between we will begin moving into OUR new home. Unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately) it's not within walking distance. So we'll need lotsa friends with trucks.

Shirley, the flooding was the point of decision when the little house became available. And the apartment still has not been put to order.

ShadowRun, thanks for the good wishes. Sorry you have to be at work on what is usually a holiday. You and I can be sending good thoughts to each other.

Stephen, my new, yet old, and previous, little home is perfect size (small), tidy, and will keep me interested in being outside.

Terri, do you remember when I lived in the little white house? I was always gushing on about how much I liked it. Well, get ready for more gushing.
